Ulises Abogados is an immigration and relocation law firm with presence in Chile and Colombia. We help individuals, families and companies settle in both countries: residence permits and citizenship, investor visas, company formation and the relocation of teams.
Our founder
Founded by Yesid Castaño
Ulises Abogados was founded by Yesid Castaño. He came to Chile from Colombia, and since 2014 he has worked so that people who emigrate do not have to navigate the paperwork on their own: first through public policy, and today through the companies he founded.
His role at the firm is to build it, bring together the right specialists and run it with artificial intelligence. Cases are handled by Ulises Abogados.

2014
A community for newcomers
He founded Colombianos Berracos en Chile, a network to share what no one explains on arrival: where to work, where to live, how to apply for a residence permit. It soon brought together people of many nationalities.
2014 – 2018
A new migration law
During the government of Michelle Bachelet, he took part as a community representative in the dialogues that proposed replacing Decree Law 1,094 of 1975 with a migration law of clear rights and duties.
2018 – 2022
Law 21,325 and pension refunds
He took part in the Senate debate of Chile’s Migration and Foreign Nationals Law 21,325, enacted in April 2021, and called for extending AFP pension fund refunds to non-professional foreign workers. During the extraordinary migration processes of 2018 and 2021, he organized large information sessions in coordination with the Government.
2017 – 2018
Dialogue across the spectrum
He has discussed migration policy with leaders from different political sides, including former President Michelle Bachelet and José Antonio Kast, now President of Chile.
