Two countries, two different paths

Chile

Chosen for its institutions, safety and nature, from Santiago and Viña del Mar to the Lake District and Patagonia.
  • Most temporary residence permits are requested online before you travel.
  • You will need a Chilean tax ID (RUT) for almost everything: bank, phone, contracts, buying property.
  • In the south, buying land requires checking subdivision rules, water rights and land restrictions before you sign.

Colombia

Chosen for its climate, cost of living and lifestyle, in Medellín, the Coffee Region, Bogotá and the Caribbean coast.
  • Pensioner, income and investor visas have minimum amounts set in Colombian minimum wages, which change every year. We confirm the current figure.
  • Money for a property purchase must enter through the formal exchange market and be registered, or it may not count for your visa.
  • Renting usually requires a local guarantor; there are legal alternatives.

Frequent questions

Before you start

Can I enter Chile as a tourist and apply for residence there?
In most cases, no: temporary residence permits are requested from abroad. There are exceptions, for example some family-based permits. We tell you which one applies to you.
Does Chile offer citizenship by investment?
No. An investment can support a temporary residence permit, but Chilean citizenship requires years of legal residence. Be careful with anyone who promises a shortcut.
Can you guarantee my visa?
No lawyer can: the decision belongs to the immigration authority. What we do is prepare your application carefully, answer every request from the authority and use the legal remedies available if something goes wrong.
Do you publish your fees?
No, because they depend on each case. After the video call you receive a written proposal with a fixed fee per service.
